Late 19th Century Japanese ivory okimono in the form of a tradesman standing, carrying a wicker basket over his shoulder, signature panel in red lacquer to the base, 7ins high
A very fine split is visible to the back (see photo). Quite pronounced yellowing to the back also. Two small pin holes inside the basket suggest somethingis missing here, otherwise in good condition with a few original joints beginning to open slightly
