BUYING & SELLING BUYING AT LAWRENCES All items offered for auction are on view on the Friday and Saturday prior to the mid-week sale. Anyone can attend either the viewing or the sale itself. It is not necessary to attend the sale as written bids can be left in advance, which Lawrences will execute on your behalf (further details on request). It is also possible to bid live via the telephone, however, for practical reasons this service is limited and is offered at our discretion. |
|
All items brought via the live bidding internet service will also incur an extra 3% premium (subject to vat) - payment will automatically be deducted from the card as registered with the ATG site on the Tuesday following a sale if we do not receive alternative instructions. Delivery of large items can be arranged and is charged at cost.
Post and Packing can be arranged but is entirely at the cost and risk of the purchaser, this is via Parcelforce and any damages or losses must be taken up directly with Parcelforce. Payment - We accept cash/cheque with guarantee card/Bank or Building Society Draft, Delta/Switch and most major credit cards.
Credit card payments will incur an additional charge of 2.5% (subject to VAT) |

SELLING AT LAWRENCES Items can be brought to the saleroom where a valuer will always be on hand to give advice. Alternatively we can arrange to visit you. There are no charges for either of these initial consultations.
Once an item has been consigned and sold commission is deducted from the hammer price as follows:
Each lot will incur a £1 administration charge for each time it is offered for auction. This charge will still be due regardless of whether the item sells or not.
Our minimum charge for commission is £15 and therefore if commission due at the above rates does not cover £15 then the minimum will be applied.
Any transport of goods to the auction rooms arranged by us is charged at cost. (All of the above charges are subject to VAT)
