If
you cannot see the menu of buttons in the left hand margin of your
Browser screen, then you may need to change your settings, or have a problem with running Java programs
on your computer, or you may be using an older Browser which does not
fully support HTML frames. You should also be aware that there are many
makes of Browser (Netscape is a popular alternative to Microsoft's
Internet Explorer). Non-Microsoft Browsers will often behave erratically
when rendering a framed website.
The first thing to do is to check your Cache
settings. Run Internet Explorer. Click on Tools and Internet Options. In
the Temporary Internet Files panel, click on Settings. Ensure that in
"Check for newer versions of stored pages" there is a bullet in
"Automatically". This will ensure that the Java Applet used to generate
buttons and other dynamic effects is loaded afresh each time.
If you still cannot see the buttons, close down your Browser, exit from any other
programs still running and then shut down your computer. Restart. You may be able
to see the buttons on running the Browser again. You should also force a
reload of the website by doing a simultaneous Ctrl
and F5 to see if the buttons appear. If not, try the
suggestions below. If these don't fix the problem, then contact your
computer supplier.
