Lawrences Auctioneers has been established since1964. We are a family business handed down through four generations.

We handle consignments ranging from single items to complete house contents and hold regular auctions comprising up to 3000 lots.  These usually take place over three days and are sub-divided under the following categories.

Robin Lawrence

Chairman - Auctioneer/Valuer

 

Robin Lawrence has been with the company for thirty years and has a vast knowledge of antiques across the board. The family business was passed down from his father over a decade ago and Robin continues to lead Lawrences in a truly professional manner. We are proud to say that today much of our new business comes from personal recommendations.

Sarah Debnam

Director - Company Secretary - Auctioneer - Finance & Administration

 

Sarah has been with the company for over twenty five years, initially joining as Girl Friday in the office, she

worked her way up over the years and became a company director in 1998.

She deals with all aspects of finance, accounting and administration as well as auctioneering on sale days.

 

 

 

David Bradbury

Director - Auctioneer/Valuer

 

David has been with Lawrences for over twenty years, he has a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the valuation and identification of antiques. David now works for us during our busiest times carrying out valuations and auctioneering.    

Philip Rhodes                                   Junior Valuer

Philip Rhodes joined the company as a saleroom porter in 2001. His enthusiasm and keen interest over the years has  seen him progress to the position of junior valuer.

   

Amanda Sendall

Administration/Secretarial

 

Amanda has been with us for ten years working in front of house, she deals with all aspects of administration and initial client liaison.

Tracey Winter

Administration

 

 

Tracey has been part time with us for eight years and assists in all aspects of administration/office duties.

 

 

Michael Bradbury

Head Porter

 

Mick has been with the company for many years and oversees the efficient management and day to day running of all aspects of the saleroom.

 

Ian Edmunds

Porter

 

Being our newest member of staff, having recently stepped down as a fire fighter, Ian or Yogi as we call him now works for us part time as a porter/ saleroom assistant.
